Phili Regency Club House: A New Dawn in Residential Leisure

Transforming Residential Spaces: Kris Lin's Award-Winning Design

The Phili Regency Club House, designed by Kris Lin, is a testament to the power of innovative design. The project, nestled within a residential area, serves as a club providing various amenities such as a gym, yoga classes, and a swimming pool. The aim is to integrate national movement into the community, catering to the needs of the residents.

What sets this design apart is its unique approach to improving the living and recreational environment of people in residential areas. Lin has reconstructed the space of the clubhouse, originally located in the basement, by transforming the wall into a glass curtain wall. This ingenious modification allows natural light to flood into the previously dark basement, enhancing the overall ambiance.

Further enhancing the space, Lin has integrated two sets of complete water treatment systems, merging the outdoor landscape with the indoor landscape. The result is a residential area leisure and entertainment club that boasts a stunning living environment.

In the tea house at the basement level, Lin has implemented a changeable design. A vine curtain divides the space into several private meeting spaces, which can be transformed into an open, large meeting space when the curtain is lifted, adding flexibility to the space use.

The project, spanning 2450 square meters, was completed in Chengdu, China, in 2017. Lin undertook the architectural, landscape, and interior design, as well as the furnishing. The design cleverly uses glass as the key material for the façade of the basement, allowing natural light to penetrate the interior space directly. This design not only achieves good lighting but also solves the problem of lighting shortage in the basement.

The Phili Regency Club House was awarded Silver in A' Hospitality, Recreation, Travel and Tourism Design Award in 2019. This prestigious award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that demonstrate outstanding expertise and innovation. The design, admired for its strong technical characteristics and splendid artistic skill, showcases a remarkable level of excellence and introduces positive feelings, amazement, and wonder.
